On Page B6 of the Jan. 8 Sun Journal, I read that Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine is seeking a 23 percent rate hike. That should have been front page news.
If that doesn’t scream for a public option in health care reform, what will it take? What kind of rate hike will Anthem look for next year? Thirty percent? Fifty percent? Eighty percent?
Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins deserve to get an earful from Maine’s insurance victims.
