The radiology and CT scan at Rumford Hospital are now staffed every day, 24 hours each day. One technologist with both CT and diagnostic x-ray skills will be in house from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven days a week. A technologist with those skills will also work in house from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. In the past, overnight hours were covered by technologists on call. "This will make response times for emergency cases and inpatient emergent situations much shorter," said Gale Hill, medical imaging manager.
