NORWAY — The Rev. Richard Beal, minister of the Universalist churches in Norway and West Paris, will begin a series of five services based on the book “The Cathedral of the World,” by Forrest Church, beginning Sunday, Jan. 24.

The first service, titled “God and Other Famous Liberals” will focus on a liberal interpretation of the divine.

Sunday services are held at 9 a.m. at the West Paris Universalist Church, 128 Main St., and at 11 a.m. at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St., Norway.

The churches are part of the Unitarian Universalist Association, a network of liberal religious churches in the United States. For information about the association and local churches in Maine, visit www.uua.org.

The Web site for both churches is www.norwayuu.org.
