Society meeting
MECHANIC FALLS — Members of the Mechanic Falls Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Congregational Hall (formerly the First Congregational Church), Elm Street. Plans for the year will be discussed.
Trips planned
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens have announced the following trips. A 16-day trip is planned to Daytona Beach, Fla., by motor coach, from Feb. 13 to 28, with Yankee Line Tours.
Also, a trip to the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s “Isn’t it Romantic” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21.
A St. Patrick’s lunch and
show is planned for Thursday, March 11, at the Danversport Yacht Club. The show features the O’Reillys with a variety of songs and
tales of Ireland. On Tuesday, April 13, a trip to Portland for a 7 p.m. performance of Stars on Ice.
On Tuesday, April 27, the group will go to Hollywood Slots. Anyone who is interested in attending a trip may call the Lewiston Senior Citizens office

Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 19 were as follows: first, Sherry Hinckley and Luke Merry; second, Claire Lyons and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements,
Winners at Schooner Estates on Jan. 20 were: first/second tie, Claire Lyons and Rosemarie Goodwin with
Les Buzzell and John Hackett; third, Tom Dahlberg and David Wallace.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area.
