April Deemer, daughter of Wendy and Sherwood Deemer of Sabattus, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2009 fall semester at the University of New England. Dean’s list students have attained a grade point average of 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.

A 2008 graduate of Oak Hill High School, Deemer is a major in psychology. She is also actively involved at the university in the Psychology Club.
