Margaret Elizabeth Kennedy
1925 – 2010

LEWISTON — Margaret Elizabeth Kennedy (Peggy), 84, of Brunswick, passed away on Jan. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center. 

She was born March 20, 1925, in New Gloucester, to Eleanor Mott and Wallace Bragdon. She graduated from New Gloucester High School in 1942. She married Merle D. Kennedy on July 2, 1950 in New Gloucester.

She worked at Parkview Memorial Hospital for 20 years, retiring April 30, 1990. An active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brunswick, she volunteered for many years after retirement, as treasurer/secretary of the Seventh-day Adventist Community Service Center in Brunswick. 

She will be missed by her husband, Merle; her son, Richard Kennedy and his wife, Lisa; her daughter, Sandy Rudman and her husband, Carl; grandchildren, Sean Rudman, Kelly Rudman, Jayme Horr and Dana Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Demetrios, Annabelle and Cassidy Horr; brother, Wallace Bragdon Jr. and his wife, Dolly; her brother-in-law, Charlie Fortier; sister-in-law, Arlene; and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and the love that she showed to all. 

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Muriel; and her brothers, Edwin, Charles, Harrison, Kenneth, Alden, Avery and Sidney.
