Maxine B. Martineau
1930 – 2010

AUBURN — Maxine B. Martineau, 79, of Lewiston, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Clover Manor, her residence for the past three years.

She was born Maxine Beverly Davis on Aug. 14, 1930, the daughter of Marguerite and Samuel Davis. She attended Auburn schools and married Norman Martineau on Jan. 30, 1954.

She worked for Wilner Wood Heel and many years at Eastland Shoe in Freeport, until she retired. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed her church services, reading her Bible each day and Bingo at Clover Manor and always had a warm hello for anyone who entered her room. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

She is survived by a brother, Norman Davis and wife, Elaine, of Auburn; a brother, Herbert Davis of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Marguerite Parker; father, Samuel Davis; husband, Norman Martineau; and a brother, Robert Nichols.
