Mike Dorval of Reynolds Inliner LLC of Fairfield cleans resin off
equipment while working on Davis Street in Lewiston on Tuesday. He is
part of a crew that is using new technology to reline sewer lines
without digging. Instead of spending a week or more to dig up the lines
and replace them, they use a resin-treated felt liner that is inserted
through the existing line and inflated. Pressurized steam is introduced
to harden the liner to the consistency of PVC pipe.
