AUBURN — Auburn Adult and Community Education has announced February classes. Enrollment for all classes is still possible.
Model Railroading: The eight-week course presented by Great Falls Model Railroad Club will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 9. The basic techniques of model railroading will be covered, including bench work, basic wiring, scenery building, weathering and layout design.
Being Healthy…Naturally: On Thursday, Feb. 11, the course will
cover the three eating principles, three healing principles and two
common sense principles of holistic wellness. A 30-page booklet will be
available for purchase that outlines all the principles and how to
implement them.
Oil Painting for Beginners: The class will begin on Thursday, Feb. 11. No drawing skills are necessary. The class will focus on the basics, including capturing form, light, perspective, depth, proportion, color and mixing color. After a series of painting exercises, everyone will have the opportunity to complete a representational scenic landscape.
Make It Your Own – Beaded Jewelry: The class will be held on
Thursday, Feb. 11. Participants will create a wire wrap stone bangle
bracelet. All tools and bead boards will be provided.
Private/Sports Pilot Course: The course will meet on Monday, Feb.
22 and will include instruction in airspace aviation regulation, aero medical factors, navigation aerodynamics, airplane systems, weather, and
weight and balance. Successful students will be provided a certificate
of graduation, which permits them to take the FAA private pilot or
sport pilot written test at any authorized computer-testing center.
Introduction To Microsoft Word 2007: The class will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Participants will learn to share text and data, use automatic formatting and position and size graphics. Attendees must be fully proficient using Windows before taking the class.
Certified Nurse’s Assistant and Certified Medication Technician programs are also available. Call for additional information.
