AUBURN – The YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston is offering a Lifeguard Certification Course to be held Feb. 15 to 19. The class will run 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ach day. Participants must be at least age 15 before the end of the course, complete a 300-yard swim and retrieve a 10-pound training brick. Upon completion of the course, the lifeguarding and first aid certifications are valid for three years, and the CPR certification expires after one year.

Course fee is $195 for YMCA Members and $235 for non-members. Registration is now open, but class size is limited, so register today at the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA 62 Turner St. (next to Androscoggin County Courthouse). There also may be space for those needing to recertify in CPR, or LG/First Aid. If you have questions please call 795-4095 or stop by the YMCA.
