LEWISTON — Jessica Richard, assistant child care director at the YWCA, recently finished a 30-hour course focused on Maine’s Early Childhood Learning Guidelines. During the course, she learned how to incorporate the guidelines into the YWCA’s current curriculum, alter the guidelines to children with special needs, monitor and evaluate young children using the guidelines, and communicate the guidelines with families.

Richard has been with the YWCA for 18 months. She lives in Lewiston.
