FARMINGTON — A Wilton man was ordered Friday to perform 100 hours of public service and to stay out of trouble or he could face up to five years in prison for selling marijuana.

Eric Urdsick, 29, pleaded guilty to trafficking in illegal drugs in an agreement that deferred sentencing while he does community service, abstains from using alcohol and drugs, undergoes substance-abuse evaluation and refrains from criminal activity for 14 months. Justice Michaela Murphy set the conditions.

In late October, Wilton police seized two pounds of marijuana and 39 plants from an operation they estimated to be worth about $35,000.
