AUBURN — Owners Marcel Larose and his son, Dylan, invite the public to join them and Auburn Mayor Richard Gleason in celebrating the rebirth of Dag’s Bait and Sport Goods Inc. at its original location, 559 Minot Ave. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for 9:30 a.m., Feb. 10.

The original Dag’s Bait & Tackle shop began its debut back in the early 1960s. Owners Leo and Therese Daigneault sold their business in 2004 so they could retire. Unfortunately, in early 2008, due to economic hardship and other reasons, the shop closed until Sept. 11, 2009, when Larose purchased the business. After much-needed renovations and more modern equipment upgrades, Dag’s opened its doors on Dec. 1, 2009.
