FARMINGTON — Healthy Community Coalition has announced HealthWorks, a comprehensive work site wellness program available to local businesses throughout Greater Franklin County. Programs offered through HealthWorks include on-going employee health risk assessments, one-on-one health coaching and a variety of wellness initiatives via education and policy improvement.

“Given the current state of economic uncertainty, businesses are investing in the quality of their workforce by focusing on reducing medical spending, absenteeism, and workers’ compensation expenses,” said Waylon Wolfe, HCC work site wellness marketing and development specialist. “Work site wellness programs help both large and small businesses improve the health and well-being of their employees which in turn helps to improve productivity and profits.”

Through a grant from the Office on Woman’s Health, HCC is able to offer HealthWorks free of charge for the first six months.
