Molly Ockett Chapter DAR presented a Media Service Award to Adam Bartow, a
producer at News 8, WMTW-TV, Portland. Lynn Cummings Pike, Chapter Regent
presented the award at the January 29 meeting at the 1st Congregational
Church, South Paris. Mr. Bartow was honored for his work in researching and
producing a news segment honoring military personnel from Maine killed while
on active duty since September 11, 2001. The news segment currently lists
nearly fifty names and airs on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. DAR works to
promote education, historic preservation and patriotism and works to support
Veterans and active military personnel through various programs. Bartow is
a graduate of Ithaca College and Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. He
is the son of Ken and Polly Bartow of Otisfield. For information on joining
