FARMINGTON — The Gold LEAF Institute Senior College will introduce its spring term of classes at an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the University of Maine Farmington Student Center, North Dining Hall, 111 South St.
Anyone age 50 or older who is interested in lifelong learning opportunities is welcome to attend. Attendees will learn more about Gold LEAF, which stands for Lifelong Education At Farmington, meet the course presenters, socialize with some of the current members, become a member, sign up for classes and have some light refreshments.
A special introductory offer is available for new members to get a trial membership with Gold LEAF for $10 during the spring term, now through June 2010, plus pay a nominal fee for the classes.
The spring term includes a variety of classes and activities, all of which are designed to make learning fun and stress free. There are no educational prerequisites to be a part of Gold LEAF.
