Crepe tent
RANGELEY — Saddleback Maine will bring in a crepe tent during February school vacation week, where a variety of crepes and other specialty foods and beverages will be served. The heated tent will be set up in front of the base lodge and will have a floor and seating for approximately 50.
The crepes will be served with a variety of fillings such as apple caramel walnut, strawberry amaretto, Nutella and banana, and cinnamon and sugar toppings for $3. They will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
Church service
WILTON — An Ash Wednesday service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the First Congregational
Church of Wilton, United Church of Christ. The service will include hymns, prayers and Word, and will also provide
for the distribution of ashes.
The service is open to all who wish to attend. The church is an open and affirming church and is handicapped accessible.
Public supper
CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will have a public baked bean supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. There will be baked beans,
salads, casseroles, biscuits and homemade pies. Cost for adults is $7; children,
$3.
Ash Wednesday
PHILLIPS — An Ash Wednesday service will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Shadagee Senior Housing. A soup and bread lunch will be served. The service will be led by Pastor Susan Kaplan-Burgess of the Phillips Community Church, UCC. All are invited. For more information, call Pat Matulaitis at 639-3786.
