Lewiston 4, Scarborough 3

GORHAM — Junior forward Ryan Lemelin scored a hat trick to lead Lewiston to a 4-3 victory over Scarborough in boy’s ice hockey action Saturday.

The Blue Devils (14-2-1) pushed ahead in the second period to make it 3-1 with a pair of Lemelin tallies. Junior forward Sam Cloutier chipped in with a pair of assists to help lead the way.

Brett Leighton scored a goal in each of the first and third periods for Scarborough.

Goalie Matt Mayo made 15 saves for the Red Storm, while Cam Poussard earned the win in net for Lewiston with nine saves.

Biddeford 6, St. Dom’s 5

BIDDEFORD — Senior right wing Derek Reny recorded a pair of goals and an assist to lead Biddeford to a 6-5 triumph over St. Dom’s in boy’s ice hockey action Saturday.

St. Dom’s found themselves down by three goals on three occasions. And, despite junior left wing Alex Parker scoring a short handed goal at the 14:46 mark of the third period for his second tally of the game, the Saints (10-8) came up one goal short at the final buzzer.

Trevor Fleurent and Brady Fleurent contributed a goal and two assists each for the Tigers (14-2-1).

Goalies Josh Charest and Shayne Curtis made 15 and 12 saves respectively for St. Dom’s, while Matt Roy turned back 14 to earn the win in net for Biddeford.
