NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank announces that Gail McBride has recently joined the company as vice president and retail collections manager. She works in the bank’s main office in Norway.

McBride has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and has an extensive background in consumer and residential lending. Most recently, she worked at the Maine State Housing Authority as director of the homeownership department. At MSHA, she managed the division that is responsible for the First Time Homebuyer program and other single-family home purchase initiatives serving low to moderate income families in Maine. In her new role at Norway Savings Bank, McBride will be responsible for directing the collection activity for all retail loan accounts, including home mortgages, home equity loans, consumer loans and overdraft lines of protection.

McBride earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maine at Orono and attended the Williams College School of Banking. She is a very active member of her community where she has served as a board member for the Four Directions Development Corporation, a community development financial institution serving the four Native American tribes in Maine. She has also volunteered with the Abused Women’s Advocacy Project, L-A Arts and the United Way.
