Dogs are like people — they love having a good job. That’s why it was a joy to read the story Monday about Anthony Colello and his 19 dogs.
Colello operates Rangeley Region Sled Dog Adventures, where he takes visitors on dog-sled trips around the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center on weekends.
Colello’s dogs fight to be the first hooked up to the harness and, despite running the same route countless times, they love to run.
“They have been out there a million times, and they just go crazy,” says Colello.
Most of our family pets don’t have steady jobs, which is a shame. Particularly in the winter, people leave their dogs at home all day then don’t feel like walking them or throwing a ball when they get home at night.
Then they wonder why the vet says their pets are too fat.
Like Colello’s team, your dog was born to run. Make sure he gets a chance.
