LEWISTON — As a continuation of the free income tax preparation that the Lewiston-Auburn CA$H Coalition is providing to Lewiston-Auburn area residents through the end of March, new Mainers are encouraged to have their federal and state taxes prepared and e-filed from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

Interpreters will be on site to assist with communication between residents and the IRS-certified volunteer preparers. There will be French, Spanish, Somali and Chinese (Cantonese dialect) interpreters available.

Items that people should bring are: copies of all W-2, 1098, 1099 forms and the amount of income received by everyone in a household; Social Security numbers for all in household and any others to be shown on the tax return; form 8332 or copy of divorce decree for non-custodial parent claiming child; copy of prior year’s tax return, if available; child care provider’s address and tax identification number for child or dependent care credit; and any farm sales and expense receipts.
