LISBON FALLS — The MTM Community Center offers a variety of activities for all age levels.
The two newest programs offered at the center are Tai Chi and Teeter Tots.
Tai Chi will meet from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and people can join at anytime for $25 each month. Instructor Gary
Newdick will lead the basic program that includes simple stretching exercises and Tai Chi postures.
“This is something everyone can do. It improves strength, posture and coordination as well as balance.” said Newdick.
Teeter Tots is a preschool age program for children age 20 to 36 months. The program meets from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and parents may sign up
their children at anytime for $75 each month.
Recreation Director Mark Stevens said that Coordinator Marcey Crosskill has worked for many years in the field of early childhood and has done a terrific job putting this program together. Each week will have a specific theme and all songs and projects will revolve around that theme.
