WALES — Oak Hill Adult Education has announced the following classes and workshops.
A free informational workshop on Census Bureau jobs will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Oak Hill High School. Testing will follow. The test will take about 30 minutes. Participants will need to bring two forms of identification.
Fly Tying: The class is designed to teach students the basic skills and techniques needed for discovering the world of fly tying. All equipment and materials will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring any of their own vices and tools. The class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, and will begins as soon as six people are registered. Kevin Karnes will instruct. Fee is $50.
A Sicilian Dinner Menu: Paul Drowns grew up in France just outside of Paris, and there began a lifelong love affair with food. He has worked as a professional chef, provided some of America’s most prominent chefs with ingredients and has taught traditional cookery in New England for the past 15 years.
Drowns will tie history to culture, and use various regional Mediterranean cuisines as a format for the class. The class will meet from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17. Space is limited. Fee is $30.
Firearms Hunter Safety: The class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. March 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30. Fee is $5. Class limit is 40 people, but there will be a waiting list available.
