FARMINGTON — The next topic for Prescriptions for Health will be “Surfing Safely: Keeping Your Family Safe on the Internet,” featuring Ralph Johnson, chief information officer at Franklin Community Health Network, and Lorri Brown, program coordinator at Healthy Community Coalition.
The presentation will take place from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, in the Chisholm Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
“Being Internet savvy is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family,” said Johnson. “At this presentation we will discuss ways to customize your Web browser to filter inappropriate sites; tips on how to safely use social networking sites, blogs and online video-sharing sites; how to protect your computer from viruses; and much more.”
There will be ample time for questions and answers.
Prescriptions for Health presentations are open to the public and free of charge.
