AUBURN — St. Dominic Regional High School senior Naomi McGonagill has received a commission to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point starting in the fall.

This means that McGonagill has received a full scholarship to attend the institution.

“My interest in serving in the military started at a young age,” said McGonagill. “I grew up in a military family, and have clung to its values and issues ever since. The military academy will provide the opportunities and challenges for me to thrive and lead.”

“While it is true that most of our graduates are moving into great programs, we are proud of Naomi,” said St. Dom’s Principal Donald Fournier. “She is the third individual in the past four years to graduate from St. Dom’s and serve our country at one of the military academies.”
