LEWISTON — A man robbed a Big Apple store Tuesday morning at knife-point and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The man, described by police as short and wearing a blue ski mask and red jacket, brandished a steak knife and threatened a store clerk, Lt. Mark Cornelio said Wednesday. No one else was in the store at the time.
The man fled the store on Route 196 and was headed in the direction of downtown Lewiston on foot, Cornelio said.
Police detectives viewed a surveillance tape and are developing leads, Cornelio said. They had no suspects early Wednesday afternoon.
