AUBURN — Terri M. DeFilipp was recently promoted to assistant vice president/banking center manager at Mechanics Savings Bank’s 100 Minot Ave. location.

She oversees branch operations and a staff of seven customer service representatives. She is responsible for new business development in the area of loans and deposits as well as increasing the branch’s customer base. In addition, she maintains her position as a loan officer, offering mortgage and consumer loans.

DeFilipp has more than 26 years’ experience in the banking industry. She joined Mechanics Savings Bank in February, 1991, and has served in several capacities, including indirect loan officer, assistant vice president/loan officer and collections department assistant.

An Auburn resident, DeFilipp graduated from Edward Little High School and attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; Mortgage Lending School. In addition, she has completed numerous American Institute of Banking courses.

DeFilipp is president of the Auburn-Lewiston Rotary Breakfast Club and serves on the Chapman House board of directors. She is a member of the Auburn Business Association, the Edward Little High School Grandstand Club and the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce.
