LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating an attempted burglary early Wednesday at a residence on Haines Corner Road, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

Someone removed a screen and a window was partially opened when the dogs started barking and scared them off, he said.

Police arrived about 10 minutes after report of the attempted burglary came in at 12:22 a.m. and no one was around, he said.

Haines Corner Road is located off Route 133 in the East Livermore section of town.
