Friday, Feb. 26, Three Point Trio will host a happy hour jazz session from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston. At 9 p.m., local singer-songwriters Jon Assam of Lewiston, above, and Dana Gross of Portland will play at the restaurant/cafe on Middle Street. Drawing on the wealth of music stored in the hills of Appalachia and the Mississippi Delta, Gross creates lyrical songs rich in earth imagery, heart and struggle. On Saturday, Feb. 27, Kelly Ravin of Burlington, Vt., will perform at 9 p.m. A lyrical folk musician, Ravin was born and raised in the Maine town of Brooks.
