For most of us, the embalming room at a funeral home is like the Green Room for TV actors. It’s where we get prepped, dressed and made up for our final appearance. A solemn place. A special place. And a surprisingly simple place, that few get to see. Under the condition that no person — neither staff nor deceased — be photographed in order to maintain respect for the process, the owners of Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston allowed us to photograph their embalming room.
