The American Legion Riders Post 24 of Rumford held their first Valve Cover Race on Feb. 20 at the Legion Hall. The race was held from 10 to 10:40 a.m. and was followed by refreshments. The admittance fee of $7 each person benefited the Legacy Fund. Total collected was $117. The post and chapter winner was Kelly Marston of Roxberry. The winners of the Ladies Division, pictured in the top photo, from left, were Kelly Marston of Roxberry, first; Christine McBean of Oxford, second; and Pam Meader of Dixfield, third.
