Marion L. Taylor
1920 – 2010
FARMINGTON — Marion L. Taylor, 89, of Farmington, died Sunday, March 7, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 20, 1920, in Jonesport, the daughter of Guy and Grace (Dodge) Lamson.
On Oct. 2, 1938, she married, Walter L. Taylor Sr. He died on June 11, 1995.
She was the beloved matriarch of her family. She enjoyed the company of her many friends and family, playing cards, bingo and senior citizen trips. She touched the hearts of her friends with her wonderful sense of humor and brought much joy to those that had the privilege of knowing her. She also enjoyed cooking and the fruits of her labor in the kitchen will certainly be missed by her family.
The majority of her working life was spent at the Lamkin Hatchery in Chesterville, where she worked for 23 years.
She is survived by her children, Pauline Boothby of Waterville, Betty Dudley and her husband, Irving, of Livermore, Pat Williams of Winslow and Conrad Taylor of Chesterville; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Walter L. Taylor Jr. and Joseph Taylor; a grandson, Troy Boothby; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Taylor.
