FARMINGTON — Cynthia Brackett-Vincent, co-editor of “Contemporary American Women – Our Defining Passages,” will host a reading Monday, March 22, at the University of Maine at Farmington.

The new anthology includes more than 50 articles by 35-plus diverse American women who revisit, celebrate and share defining moments in their lives. They write about universal milestones in family, career and personal empowerment — whether joyous or difficult, chosen or unexpected.

A selection of contributors to the anthology will read from their nonfiction essays at 7:30 p.m. at The Landing in the student center.

The reading is free and open to the public.

Brackett-Vincent teaches poetry writing to adults, assists her husband in the graphics services segment of Encircle Publications and brings poetry into public schools. She resides near Farmington.
