Jacqueline Chouinard Beaudry

1922 – 2010

CARLISLE, Pa. — Jacqueline Chouinard Beaudry, 87, of Carlisle, Pa., died on Friday, March 5, at Forest Park Health Center with end of stage dementia.

She was born April 27, 1922, in Lewiston. She graduated from Lewiston High, where she was a cheerleader, basketball player and in the student government. On a senior class trip to Washington, D.C., she met Robert Beaudry from Edward Little High.

She graduated from Regis College in Weston, Mass., in May 1946, with a degree in business administration. Later that summer, she was married to Robert Mann Beaudry, a Foreign Service Officer, in Lewiston.

After their marriage, they were posted in Ireland, Tangiers, Morocco, Germany, Surinam, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, and Italy. When on home assignment in Washington, D.C., she held various administrative positions, at American University, the Washington School of Ballet, Wold Communication.

In retirement, they returned to Maine, and she was engaged in a variety of community and philanthropic activities which included serving as president of the Friends of Scarborough Public Library. In 2006, she moved to the Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle.

She is survived by her four children, Paul Beaudry of Cleveland, Ohio, John Beaudry, stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Senegal, Catherine Beaudry of Carlisle, Pa., and Mary Beaudry Fienup, of Bayse, Va.; and seven grandchildren.
