MEXICO — Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice will again offer the six-week exercise program called “Moving Freely” starting Monday, March 29. Although designed for senior citizens, men and women of all ages are welcome to attend the classes.

Instructor Louise Stickney will hold classes from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Mexico Recreation Center gym, Recreation Drive.

The goal of “Moving Freely” is to help participants to achieve and maintain vital, independent lives by incorporating movement into their daily routine. The program offers exercises that are safe, simple, fun and effective.

Participants learn why the exercises are necessary, what they do for the body and mind and how to incorporate them into their daily lives. The exercises work to achieve a full range of movement in all body parts to develop flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and strength.

Suggested donation is $5 for the six-week program. To preregister, call Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice at 1-800-482-7412, ext. 1404.

Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice is an independent, nonprofit agency providing skilled home care, supportive care, hospice care and Lifeline personal response services for residents of more than 100 central, western and portions of mid-coast Maine communities.
