Ronald A. Boothby
1946 – 2010

LEWISTON — Ronald A. Boothby, 64, of Turner, passed away on March 11,  with family and friends at his side.

Ron was born on Feb. 24, 1946, in Portland, the son of Paul and Wilma (Conant) Boothby. He graduated from Edward Little High School and then went on to join the Army Reserves and Auburn Police Reserves, keeping a 20-year membership with the Mechanic Falls Chapter of the American Legion and the Masons.

Utilizing his gift for sales, he became a successful representative for U.S. Cellular that lasted most of his career. He enjoyed attending hockey games and horse races. He could usually be found accompanied by his dedicated friends, Bucky Coutts, John Chamberland and Tyler Boothby.

He is survived by his brother, Edward ‘Ted’ Boothby and his wife, Judy; and several close nieces and nephews.

He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
