The Auburn Veterans of Foreign War Post 1603 recently held a “Fun Day” for the wives and kids of the 619th Transportation Company now serving in Iraq. They were treated to a lunch and the kids enjoyed a juggler act, face painting, toys, books and games. The post adopted the 619th Transportation Company and sends items to them on a bi-monthly basis. Pictured at the event, in front, from left, are Tyson, Alexis, Annie, Meaghan, Jaden, Vivianne, Jessi and Sydney; second row, Sandy and Mathew, Ethan, Heather and Josie, Catherine, Lynn, Harmony and Chrisopher; standing, Keith Davis, post commander. Anyone wishing to make a donation for the veterans may contact Arthur Roy at 784-6883 or e-mail [email protected].
