SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Rotary Club has announced the Students of the Month for March at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. They are Garrett Burns, freshman; Austin Chute, sophomore; Nicholas Allen, junior; and Danielle Conrad, senior. This is the 10th year of the Rotary Club’s sponsorship of this program.

Each month, high school staff members nominate students who they feel have “made a difference in their classroom.”

The goal of the program is to reward teamwork, positive behavior, extra effort and good student citizenship. The program is coordinated through the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange and is part of the character education curriculum at the high school.

The four students were praised for their helpfulness in the classroom, respectful and compassionate manner, diligence to their studies, honesty and volunteer efforts in community programs.

The students’ names and picture are placed on a plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library. The four students had lunch with the principals and on March 3 they were honored at a Rotary breakfast.
