HEBRON — The Hebron Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at the Hebron Town Office. Member Randy Swift will speak on the process of making maple syrup making. The public is invited to attend.

At the last meeting on Nov. 24, the group heard a presentation on the history of the Sabbathday Lake/New Gloucester Shakers.

Brother Arnold, of the Shakers, described the history of the church from its beginning in England, its movement to the United States, its many locations and most specifically its history at the New Gloucester location.

Arnold described in some detail the history of the people, their land holdings, their buildings, and commercial and religious endeavors.
