FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network has launched a YouTube channel featuring videos to keep residents better informed of news, events and initiatives taking place in the health care system.

The Franklin YouTube channel currently showcases three videos:

Rebecca Ryder, president/CEO of Franklin Community Health Network, who gives thanks and an update to emergency responders, staff and others in the aftermath of a fire in the Medical Arts Center on Jan. 30.

Heather Davis, executive director of Healthy Community Coalition, who discusses the organization’s mission and coordinated approach of education, health promotion and outreach.

Tufts School of Medicine and Maine Medical Center’s medical school partnership, which brings a new model of medical education to the state. Franklin Memorial is one of three rural hospitals in Maine where students will train during their third year.

The channel can be accessed in two ways. Go to www.youtube.com/FranklinCommunity or click on the YouTube icon on the Franklin Community Health Network Web site’s homepage at www.fchn.org.

Unregistered users can watch the videos, however those who subscribe to the channel will receive an automated notice to their e-mail each time a new video is added. A new video will be added every one to two weeks.

“We’ve had good results with our presence on Facebook and Twitter. So to expand the use of social media to include YouTube made a lot of sense, especially since we have been regularly producing videos for our staff on our internal Intranet,” said Jill Gray, community relations manager.
