I can’t remember what channel this advertisement is on, but it shows abused animals and plays the saddest song. I don’t know the name of the song, but some of the words are “in the arms of the angels.” Could you please print the words to the song and who sings it? I think the advertisement is from the ASPCA.

Also, about NASCAR sprint cup racing. At the end of the racing season, why don’t they put in the TV guide or newspaper when they have the banquet and awards? We watch these races all year and would like to see the families of these guys and everyone so happy. Nothing is ever put in the paper. Thanks for any help. — No Name, No Town

ANSWER: Sun Spots know exactly what song and the ad you mean. She’s seen it on ABC on Sunday mornings and has to leave the room or go hug her cats every time it plays. The song is written and sung by Sarah Mclachlan and is called “In the Arms of an Angel.”

The advertisement is for the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a very worthy cause. Sun Spots hopes the ad will encourage people to consider giving a pet a forever home. Pets are often just the thing for seniors, who have much time and love to give.

As for the NASCAR dinner, it is not officially a sporting event, so sports doesn’t cover it. Last year it was broadcast several times on the SPEED channel (all auto racing all the time), which shows up on the Time Warner Augusta listing as Channel 122. To find out when exactly the banquet will be broadcast, check out www.nascar.com as the end of the racing year draws near. Last year it was in early December. If you don’t have computer access, write to Sun Spots in November, and she’ll look it up for you.
