MONMOUTH — The Friends Of Cumston Library is in the process of updating its local address book, first published by the fundraising group in 1986 and updated in 1997.

This third update is expected to be completed and made available to the public in August 2010. The goal is to make available an eight-inch by 11-inch soft cover, large-print book that will allow a quick and easy reference for people to find phone numbers or mailing addresses of friends and neighbors in town.

A space will be provided for e-mail addresses, as well. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses are optional. A section in the back of the book will have names and phone numbers of local business and municipal departments.

The organization will continue collecting name and addresses until summer publication, so that summer residents and friends from away may include their names in the book.

The information in the book will be for local use only. To be included in the book, call 933-4677, stop by the Cumston Public Library or e-mail cumstonlibrary@gmail.com. A copy of the previous book is available at the library.
