LEWISTON – The 27th-annual Awards & Induction Banquet of the Auburn-Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame will be held Sunday, May 2 at Lost Valley Lodge.
Five individuals will be inducted. Their names will be announced at a press luncheon April 23. The evening also will feature the presentation of the Chamber President’s Award to the coaches of five state championship teams from Lewiston and Auburn since the 2009 banquet, as well as to a group of graduating college and high school seniors in recognition of their outstanding athletic careers.
Returning after a year’s absence will be the “Flashback Team from the Past.” This year the HOF will commemorate the 35th anniversary of the 1975 Edward Little Class A state championship baseball team by inviting team members to the banquet for special recognition.
Tickets for this popular sports recognition event are now available for $30 at the Chamber of Commerce office at 415 Lisbon Street or by calling 783-2249 for reservations.
