AUBURN — Temple Shalom Synagogue will offer a (Re)Introduction to Judaism class as part of its adult education program.
The class will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on six Tuesday evenings, beginning April 13. It will cover the basic ideas of Judaism, as well as Jewish holidays, life cycle events, rituals and customs.
The class is open to anyone who is curious about Judaism, regardless of background. The class will use as a textbook “To Life! A Celebration of Jewish Being and Thinking,” by Harold Kushner; students are asked to obtain that book on their own. There is a registration fee of $25 for nonmembers of the synagogue.
Preregistration is welcomed but not required. Students may bring their registration fee to the first meeting of the class at Temple Shalom, 74 Bradman St.
