Lorraine A. Ouellette

FARMINGTON — Lorraine A. Ouellette, 83, a resident of Main Street, Jay, died Tuesday, April 6, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Chisholm, the daughter of Valeda (Chenard) and Amedie Breton Jr. She was a 1944 graduate of Jay High School. On June 17, 1946, she married Oliver (Bill) Ouellette at St. Rose of Lima Church in Chisholm. That marriage ended 57 years later when Bill passed away on Aug. 5, 2003.

She enjoyed many hobbies and among her favorites were caroms, cards, Scrabble, bingo, and jigsaw puzzles. Her home was always open to welcome everyone. She dearly loved her daughter, Theresa “Terry,” her nephew, she helped raise, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, along with many friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Ouellette; grandchildren, Justin Castonguay and his wife, Angela and Amanda and Jaimie Castonguay; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Alexia Castonguay; and her sister, Yvonne Henry.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Leo, Roland, Ernest and Alfred Breton; two sisters, Rita Lascko and Ida Loewe; special nephews, Peter Bernard, Fred Loewe and Cookie Lascko; and niece, Rose Marie Loewe.
