AUBURN — Pauline Babbitt Robertson, 98, of Auburn, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 15, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.

She was born in Lawrence, Mass., Feb. 22, 1912, the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (White) Atspins. In 1929, she married Norman Babbitt Sr., who died in 1951. She later married Lester Robertson in 1970, and he passed away in 1985.

She was a registered nurse, prior to her retirement in 1985. She was the owner and operator of the former Bon-Air Nursing Home in Auburn for many years. She lived out her remaining years with her close friend, Bea Hawley in Auburn.

She is survived by two children, Sandra Moore and her husband, Doc, of Pembroke and Walter Babbitt and his wife, Mary, of Hebron; a sister, Lillian Gordon and her husband, Bill, of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Alphonse Atspins and his wife, Rita, of Connecticut, and Albert Atspins and his wife, Roxanne, of Rhode Island; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Norman Jr. in 1993. She was loved by many.
