PORTLAND — Maine Medical Center has hired a new chief operating officer and vice president, according to a report by the Forecaster newspaper.
Jeff Sanders, a Millinocket native who grew up in Gray, most recently worked as the operating officer at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He will join Maine Med June 7.
“We are very happy to have Jeff join us. His diverse experience and expertise in leading on the the nation’s leading hospitals will only complement the already great work being done here at the medical center,” Rich Petersen, president of Maine Med, said in a press release.
Sanders will oversee day-to-day operations at the hospital, which is the state’s largest medical center.
