WILTON — A local man was arrested Saturday after police say he broke a woman’s nose.

Chad Oliver, 25, was arrested on a felony charge of domestic violence assault, police Chief Dennis Brown said Monday.

There was a verbal argument that occurred and it escalated to the point of Oliver head-butting the woman in the face, he said.

Police responded to the incident but Oliver had fled the scene, he said.

Oliver was located at a Farmington residence, Brown said, and was taken to the Franklin County jail in Farmington.
