Cristin Bates of Lewiston paints window frames at the Auburn home of Sharon Tracy on Goff Street during a Rebuilding Together project on Saturday. Bates was one of more than 50 volunteers who spent the day repairing seven homes in Lewiston and Auburn. “It’s amazing that in one day, (volunteers) have improved our life forever,” said Tracy’s daughter, Penny. John Ouellette, owner of Precision Builders in Poland, has helped with the program since the Lewiston-Auburn chapter of Rebuilding Together began in 2002. He built a bedroom for Tracy on Saturday so Tracy would no longer have to sleep in the living room. The L-A chapter is “completely dependent on donations,” said board member George Greenwood.
