A Chinese auction to raise the needed funds to continue the Oxford Hills Book Mobile, aka “Dragon Rider Reader,” during the summer will be held on Friday, May 14, at the Norway Grange Hall on Whitman Street. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the auction will start at 7 p.m. with more than 300 items to be drawn, including gift certificates, games and puzzles, theme baskets, museum passes, Oxford Fair and ski passes and baked goods. There will also be $1 raffle tickets sold for items such as a Shaker style rocking chair, handmade afghan, camper-size refrigerator and round-trip tickets to Boston.
